My Story

I’m a soon-to-be retired college professor living in the Pacific Northwest that enjoys the outdoors, viewing wildlife and photography. Like many, I got my first camera (AGFA Compact with Solinar 39mm f2.8) as a youngster, learned a few basics and took some fun snapshots. Inevitably, life happened and the camera was put down for many, many years; but the desire was always there to do photography full time! I’m now at a point where I can realize this dream.

I created this site to share my experiences and photographs for anyone interested. I’ll also be offering some of my photographs for sale once the business side of the site is established (but more on that later). In the meantime please enjoy the photographs and check back soon!

On this site I’ll also post a few “field notes” to provide some context for the photographs I’ve posted. This will give visitors some background on the subjects, the areas where they were seen/photographed, and interesting facts related to the species/places where these were taken
